CONFIDENTIALITY
The consultation between the patient and the doctor is confidential. This means that if you don't want your parents or others to become involved or to even know that you have visited the doctor they don't have to know. It also means that the receptionist, practice nurse or any of the staff are not permitted to say that you visited the surgery or made an appointment. Therefore you can make an appointment, discuss your problems with any member of staff without fear of this information being disclosed by anyone at the surgery.
