Ante-Natal Clinic

Antenatal Clinic

Our Antenatal Clinic is held every Wednesday morning between 9am and 11am, by the Midwife, Elaine Tuck.

What is an Antenatal Clinic?
This clinic is for patients who have a confirmed pregnancy. Most women have a completely straightforward pregnancy and delivery; antenatal checks help to detect any problems that may occur before they become serious. The clinic will also allow opportunities to ask any questions and make plans for your labour.

What should I expect?
The midwife will check your blood pressure and test your urine, so you should expect to bring a sample with you.

The midwife will check for any swelling of the legs, hands or face.

The midwife will also listen to the baby’s heart rate, check how it is growing and the position in which it is lying inside your womb.
